Pettavel Group is based in Victoria of Australia, holding the Pettavel vineyard (Strathmore), Yarra Glen Vineyards (Meroo) and also Pettavel Agribusiness Investment that is associated with Austar International Pty Ltd. The historical origins of Pettavel Wines date back to 1842 when David Pettavel, a Swiss winemaker, settled in the Geelong region and pioneered the planting of vines.

Pettavel Vineyard (Strathmore Vineyard)

Re-established in 1987, Pettavel Vineyard, is 50 kilometres south west from the Melbourne CBD, 25 kilometres from Melbourne’s Avalon Airport and 20 kilometres north from Geelong.Sitting on a 3 km frontage to the Moorabool River and nestled amongst the nature’s Eden Park where koalas and kangaroos frequently roam, the 129 ha vineyard is truly blessed by the warm sunny days and cool evening breezes for producing beautiful wines.

Yarra Glen Vineyard (Meroo vineyard)

Our Yarra Glen Vineyard is located north of the Yarra Glen township and is approximately 50 kilometres from the CBD of Melbourne. Yarra Valley is also one of the most famous tourist attractions in Australia. The vineyard used to be part of Gulf Station, the first farm in Victoria’s history established in 1838. This 80 ha vineyard was planted in 1993-1997 and produces premium grapes for local premium wineries. The vineyard is surrounded by hills and is naturally divided into 12 blocks by creeks both of Dixons and steel Creek. The vineyard has approximately a 2 kilometre perimeter with Melba highway running along the south and east sides of the site.  Therefore it is becoming one of the most visible landmarks in the region.

Pettavel Wines has had the honour of entertaining three Prime Ministers of Australia in the past 10 years: John Howard visited Geelong Pettavel Restaurant in April 2004. Bob Hawke and Kevin Rudd both presented awards for outstanding business people in Melbourne in July 2013.
